Did you know...
Monarchs are the only butterfly to make a two way migration!?
Monarchs winter in Mexico from December to February. From March they move back north and breeding season begins. As they migrate on the trip back, 4 generations are born between mid March and mid August. The 4th generation does not breed but returns to winter in Mexico. Extraordinarily, this generation has never been to Mexico which makes it more amazing that they know where to go!
Head to 30A to check them out!
Sunday, Nov. 14th from 10 am to 4 pm is the Flutterby Arts Festival in Watersound Origins. This festival celebrates the migration of the monarchs with art activities, live music, dance performances, a butterfly parade and more!
Don't miss out on this fun festival!
